If you’re the type of person who loves staying at home on weekends instead of going out, or maybe you work from home like me, lucky for us because we’re used to the four corners of our homes, unlike others. Some people feel the itch on their feet to leave and go somewhere else. However, due to the pandemic that we’re experiencing right now all over the world, we don’t have any choice but stay inside and protect ourselves from getting infected by the virus.
In this post, I’ll be sharing some of the things that I do when I get bored. Well, sometimes, I do these things when I’m free or need a break from work. Maybe you’re planning to binge-watch your favorite drama on Netflix, stay on your bed for the whole day while eating leftover food for the next couple of days. Yet, if you still don’t have any plans on how you can spend your time while this unresolved situation is ongoing, and you’re looking for something to do, then you’re on the right page.
Read books
Aside from spending most of your time using your phone scrolling endlessly, why not change your routine even just for a couple of days? There are so many good books that you can read that might catch your interest and learn new things.
Learn how to cook new dishes
Grab this time to learn how to make some dishes at home that you still haven’t tried cooking. I, myself, is struggling with this since what I only love to do is to eat. My Mom and siblings are good cooks and I’m the only one who sucks at it. I just know how to make simple dishes but still, I want to make something special for them on some occasions.
Meditate and do some reflection
If you can’t find time to relax and take a break from the outside world due to your busy schedule, then get this opportunity to reflect on yourself. Take a break from using your phone for a while, listen to slow and calming music and sit in one corner of your home. I do this when I wake up in the morning. It helps me to focus on the things that matter and let go of the things I don’t have any control over. If you’re like me who easily gets distracted, then try to meditate and see the positive effect it can bring you.
In this time of dilemma, and we don’t have any choice but follow the authorities and our nations’ leaders, the last thing that we can do is to cooperate. And to reduce our stress and anxiety, keep in mind that this is just temporary and everything will get back to normal. In the meantime, do the things that’ll benefit us and the above lists are just some of them.
Thank you so much for reading!
