When it comes to our health and body, we always want to do the best thing we can just to stay in our normal weight and shape. We try to find ways to stay fit and healthy. Especially these days, achieving the perfect body shape is a big deal for most of us. I, myself, want to have abs, big booty and toned arms. Yet, along with these body goals, I also have to watch out for my diet. We all need to focus more on what we intake and it should be followed by moving around or stretching our bodies.
These past few days, I’m trying to get back to exercising early because mornings are always the best. But there are some days that I get lazy to get up at 4 am and do it. So I decided to exercise when I’m not that really busy; at noon and evening before I go to sleep. Because sometimes, you have to keep moving. If you want to see results, even if you’re not in the mood, you have to work hard and be more patient.
I decided to write a post about this because I want to be reminded, not only myself but also all of you, who tend to forget that health is wealth. It can help us to live a long and happy life without creating a hole in our pockets. Yes, you read it right! We don’t need to spend so much money just to find out how to stay fit and healthy.
Drink lots of water.
Drinking at least 6-8 glasses of water a day is one of the ways how to stay fit and healthy. Staying hydrated can prevent us from experiencing headaches, mood swings, dry skin, and even heart disease. Water can also help to normalize our bowel movements. My Mom always reminds me of the benefit of water especially when I got UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) because I love eating salty food and forgetting to drink lots of water afterward. Thankfully, I seldom get sick because I always bring a tumbler of water with me even when I’m just at home.
Exercise at home.
Instead of going to the gym, exercising at home without feeling shy is a good idea too. There are so many workout videos we can choose online whatever part of our body we want to improve and so far, in my experience, they’re all effective to me. We all have to stay fit even if we don’t want to go outside. It’s time to stop making excuses!
Get enough sleep.
Who doesn’t like to get enough sleep? Probably just kids who think that staying up until dawn is a cool thing to do. Haha. I’m lucky if I can get 7-8 hours of sleep a day because I only usually get 6 hours since I hit 25. I think that’s how my body clock works now and thankfully, I feel better when I wake up even so. Sleeping is a time for our body and mind to rest after a long day of working and thinking. Even computers need to shut down to rest, what more than us humans, right?
Avoid consuming unhealthy food.
Last but totally not least way how to stay fit and healthy is to avoid consuming junk foods and carbonated drinks like soda, chips and chocolates. These types of food won’t give us any good benefits to our health. But we still eat and drink them because they taste so good! I admit that I still eat junk food but in moderation. I’m aware that I’m not that young anymore not to watch out for what I eat. If we start doing a small thing for a better cause like reducing the consumption of unhealthy food in our diet, then wait for the much bigger things that we can do. It takes a lot of courage and discipline for us to do it and to make it easier, let’s think that we’re the only ones who’ll benefit from it.
