It’s been 10 days now (or now in some areas) since the year 2023 started and I’m pleased to tell you that I’m being consistent now in most things that I do. I made a commitment to myself last year that I will be more disciplined for me to reach my goals based on the timelines that I set for each of them. I already claimed that this year is my year to shine and that’s how optimistic I am.
For instance, in exercising. Keeping active is one of my main goals this year. I posted about the things I’ve learned (and still learning) from exercising two years ago and I should probably write an updated one soon. I’m thrilled to say that I’ve made immense progress by being consistent. I allow myself to recover from two or three days straight workouts because it’s part of the process. I’m preventing myself from slacking because once I stop for two days, there’s a huge that I would get a hard time convincing myself to persist in what I’ve started.
No one motivates me but myself to exercise and continue what I do every day. Reading self-help and motivational books helps me to stay focused. I don’t just work out to have a nice body and be physically strong but mentally too. Some people think that those who exercise just want to look great but in reality, that’s one way of learning about discipline in life. It makes us realize that to get what we want, we have to work hard first to get what we wanted.
Thank you so much for reading!
